TravaGen: Gradual Serotonin and Calming Support

TravaGen by NeuroScience contains a proprietary blend of L-tryptophan, L-theanine, and taurine to provide support to those with low serotonin levels. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that is directly responsible for mood regulation, sleep, and energy levels. Those with low serotonin levels may experience feelings of sadness, disrupted sleep, and lethargy.

The TravaGen formula specifically contains L-tryptophan rather than 5-HTP. Both L-tryptophan and 5-HTP are converted to serotonin within the body. However, L-tryptophan offers milder support than 5-HTP. L-tryptophan provides lower peak serotonin levels and a more gradual dose-response curve. Due to this, TravaGen tends to be more effective for those who have sensitivities to 5-HTP. L-theanine is included to also address glutamate levels.
